The Charter in 4 words - Friends, first and foremost.
*Who are we: The Demon Knights of Silver Hand server. One of the oldest Horde guilds still in existence. (Formed on day 2 of the server)
*What we are: A family style Horde Guild looking to expand our numbers in the interest of casual raiding. If you don't know what a family style guild is, please allow me to explain. This guild was founded by a large group of friends, our growth has so far only been through the friend of a friend referral process. Thus we are a very tight knit group.
*Our primary bylaw has been friends first and foremost and always will be. Raiding will never be required in this guild. We don't have class requirements or strict level requirements.
*Our number 2 rule, and our guild leader's biggest pet peeve, is Drama. Those who whine or insult others in any public channel can expect disciplinary action (we will not hesitate to remove people for this offence). If you have a problem with a member of the guild we expect you to resolve it quietly in an adult manner, or to take it to your officers if needed. This is a guild of adults, we do have younger players in this guild (very few), but mature behavior is expected.
*We are not a loot happy guild. it's ok to want to upgrade your gear but if you're looking to outfit in all "leet purples" in under a month this is NOT the guild for you. We are raiding up to ZG, AQ20 and MC at this point but we are not in a hurry to farm them. We usually only run 2 total raids a week at most. Sometimes we will not raid for an entire month. Loot hungry players don't fit in with our environment.
*Guild chat: Being that most of our player base is past the age of 20, guild chat can get rated R on rare occasions, though racist/sexist jokes are STRICTLY forbidden. Another interesting point about guild chat is that "l337" speak is very frowned on, not to say that things like lol or brb are not common. As I have already said this guilds player base is a more mature group, us old folks don't want to take the time to translate l337 speak in guild chat.
*Leveling, gear, quests, raiding: I belive in self sufficency. This is not a place to come to get powerleveld or geared out. We help eachother as much as we can, but there is no obligation to do so. In a guild with so many soloists you should never feel offended because no one wants to run an instance. We are NOT a "raiding guild"! Yes we do raid but it is not the focus of our guild
*Structure: This Guild is not a democracy. The guild leader and officers run the show.
